Re: West Sussex & West Ham links
Just got back from a couple of days in West Sussex walking the Seven Sister's on the South Downs Way.

As North Bank says, everyone is nice and friendly and happy to say hello and have a chat.

Was a pleasure to be amongst such nice English people, and didn't see too many foreigners either.Win/Win.

zebcat,
are you the north end Felbridge side or Forest Row ? Had a place in FR before going to OZ.As a kid grew up in Chelwood Gate, the Ashdown Forest no better place to grow up.
Football every day at weekends and the hols, interspersed with Cricket in the Summer

Lived in Mid Sussex since 1979. Some nice golf courses around here but pricey as hell at the moment and some have been swallowed up by development. That's the main problem now for many, whereas for years they had a lovely view of meadows and now it's someone's brick wall!

I'd rather land be used for housing than for some poncy "sport" played by poncy cunts in their poncy clubs.

There's a West Ham in/near Basingstoke, too.

I looked into buying a house there during my divorce but the situation was so dynamic I couldn't make a firm offer.

Speaking of ornithology, beware of Bognor birds. They're dangerous.

On matchdays you'll find a smattering of claret and blue on trains from Brighton, Crawley and East Grinstead. Nutters, the lot of them.
